Inclement Weather Procedures
(or other postponements)

Home school is responsible to contact the officials involved. At the time of the call, if the home team knows the make up day/time and you are available, then you can accept the assignment. If you are not available for any reason, so advise the school.

If you are previously assigned to another game on the make up date, then you are not available to do the game. If you have previously closed out the date, but now wish to open it up to accept the make up game, you may do that.

Inform the school that you are available, and then immediately email (preferably) or call my home number to inform me that you are opening that date and accepting the assignment.

Whatever happens, if you are available and accept the game or you are not and refuse it, send an email (preferably) or call my home number to inform me. Large scale postponements can be very confusing, and my goal is to get it right 100% of the time.

If the home team does not know the day/time of the make up, the game still belongs to you if you are available on the day/time that it is going to be made up. Upon notification from the school, I will contact the officials involved and reschedule the game. If you are not available on the date of the make up, you will be replaced on that game.

If you do not get notified by the school that the game has been postponed, contact your partner to see if they have been informed. If neither of you have been contacted, call the local police department in that town to see if they have been notified to cancel the police coverage for the game. If there is still doubt, you can call me. I will attempt to contact the Athletic Director or Coach.

Unless we are notified of the postponement, you are expected to go to the game.
